Privacy

The short version: no accounts, no ads, no tracking. Here is exactly what happens to what you type.

What we receive

When you press "Create my slides", your browser sends the topic and your options (level, style, number of slides, speaker notes) to our server. Please type only the subject. Do not type names, emails, phone numbers or other personal details.

Who else sees it

Our server passes the topic to an AI service to write the slides. We use Groq as the main service. If it is busy, we may use other services listed in the project's README as backups. We only send the topic and fixed instructions, nothing that identifies you. The finished PowerPoint file is built in your browser and is never uploaded.

If you leave "Related pictures" on, our server also sends a few words describing a picture (for example "green leaf sunlight"), chosen by the AI and not your full topic, to Pexels to find photos. Pexels sees our server, not you. Your browser then downloads the picture through our server. Photos are provided by Pexels.

Some sites turn on a human check from Cloudflare (Turnstile) to stop bots. If this one does, Cloudflare may process technical signals from your browser. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

What we store

To limit each visitor to a few presentations per day, we keep a daily counter tied to a one-way hash of your network address. The hash changes every day and cannot be turned back into your address. Counters are deleted after two days. We do not store your topics or the slides that were generated, and we do not log them.

Cookies and tracking

SlideMate sets no cookies, uses no analytics and does not store anything in your browser.
